About Yukarikai

Yukari-kai is a kendo group active in Motosumiyoshi, Kawasaki. We are a member of the Nakahara Ward Kendo Federation. We are run by volunteer kendo enthusiasts with the support of nearby elementary and junior high schools, police, local residents and parents. We also provide support in English, so foreigners can feel at ease participating.

First of all, why not come and observe our classes? Let's have fun practicing together!

Activity Policy

Yukari-kai is conscious of "properly conveying Kendo" and practices every day, valuing the individual's own realizations.

Kendo emphasizes etiquette, so it is said that the benefits of kendo include becoming more polite, becoming more proactive, and being able to take care of yourself.

Because it is a martial art, winning matches is of course important, but we also place great importance on etiquette in our activities.

Membership Information

The Association is always looking for new members.

Children can join from the first grade of elementary school. Adults can join from high school students and above, regardless of age, gender, or experience. Please feel free to come and observe the class. ( Practice scene )
